Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to small animals, diagnosing illnesses, and developing treatment plans. This role requires strong communication skills to educate pet owners on proper animal care and preventive health measures. A passion for animal welfare and a commitment to ongoing professional development are essential.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health status.
  • Diagnose and treat injuries, illnesses, and diseases in pets.
  • Perform surgeries and administer vaccinations as needed.
  • Maintain accurate medical records for each animal treated.
  • Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high-quality care.
  • Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in animal care.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
  • Valid veterinary license to practice in Texas.
  • Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and husbandry practices.
  • Experience in animal handling, particularly with dogs and other domestic pets.
  • Proficiency in aseptic techniques and overall animal care practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and team members.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
