The Regional Clinical Services Director is a leadership role that supports the clinical and operational success of Nexus Wound Consultants by overseeing and enhancing clinical services. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including independent contractors, internal departments, and community partners.
The position is a blend of administrative responsibilities and direct patient care, with approximately 80% of the time dedicated to administrative functions and 20% focused on clinical duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the onboarding, initial training, and ongoing education of independent and contracted providers across Nexus service areas.
- Collaborating with HR and Operations to support onboarding processes and provider education.
- Obtaining and maintaining state licenses for all Nexus service areas.
- Traveling to various states to provide hands-on onboarding and educational support to independent contractors.
- Providing direct training, oversight, and support to ensure independent contractors adhere to clinical guidelines and best practices.
- Acting as a surrogate provider when necessary, maintaining accurate patient records and supporting clinical needs.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with providers, referral sources, and community partners through effective communication and responsiveness.
- Ensuring compliance with operational guidelines and staying current on governing regulations.
- Supporting clinical operations by assisting with peer reviews, billing oversight, supply management, and maintaining documentation accuracy.
- Additional Duties as Assigned
Essential Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner with a multi-state license, eligible to practice in all Nexus service areas.
- Proven experience in wound care and clinical leadership.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to professional development and compliance with industry regulations.
