Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly qualified Supervising Physician to join our dynamic team in Texas. As a Supervising Physician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional wound care services while adhering to Texas state regulations that mandate collaborative or delegated practice agreements between Nurse Practitioners and supervising physicians. This position is offered as a 1099 opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners to oversee patient care, ensuring compliance with state regulations and best practices.
- Provide supervision, guidance, and support to Nurse Practitioners in clinical decision-making and treatment planning.
- Review patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans to ensure quality of care and adherence to established protocols.
- Participate in periodic case reviews and discussions to optimize patient outcomes and clinical processes.
- Serve as a resource for clinical staff, offering expertise and mentorship to enhance professional development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of supervisory activities and collaborative agreements.
Qualifications:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Wound Care, etc.).
- Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Texas.
- Experience practicing in wound care or related fields preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care, ethics, and professionalism.
- Familiarity with Texas state laws and regulations governing collaborative practice agreements for Nurse Practitioners.
