Responsibilities:
- Travel to private residences, skilled nursing facilities, adult care homes, etc. to provide comprehensive care for advanced wound care candidates.
- Reach an informed diagnosis and create an appropriate treatment plan for each patient based on scientific knowledge and the patient's medical history.
- Accurately document in patient charts following each appointment in our EMR system, AdvancedMD.
- Perform wound care techniques on patients like debridements, applying biologic patches, and using Ultramist technology.
- Collaborate with Physicians, RNs, LVNs, and other Advanced Wound Care Providers to form a high-performing medical team.
- Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion with patients.
Requirements:
- Must be willing to travel extended distances around the listed position area.
- Valid APRN/Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
- Most hold board certification.
- Commitment to providing high-quality wound care.
- Must be willing to travel for initial training (out-of-state travel required).
- A DEA is not required.
Position Details:
- Role: Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) as a 1099 Independent Contractor
- Commitment: Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Patient Load: Full-time max census is 30-35 patients per week (7-9 per day)
- Compensation: $3,269.23 per week as a full-time Provider with the opportunity to receive monthly productivity bonuses
Training:
Providers will participate in a 3-week long training process to ensure overall preparedness and confidence before seeing patients independently.
- Week 1: Virtual orientation and EMR training.
- Week 2: 4-5 days of in-person training with one of our Advanced Wound Care Trainers (out-of-state travel may be required depending on location).
- Week 3: 4-5 days of in-person training in an area more local to you (if you are the first provider in a new area, additional out-of-area travel may be required).
Note: $50/hour for pre-patient training (weekly compensation starts the first day you see your first patient following training).
