Role : Network Engineer (OpenNMS Expert)

Location : Remote from Canada or USA

Job Description:

Proven experience in a solution engineering role, preferably within the network monitoring domain.

A strong understanding of network monitoring principles and methodologies.

In-depth knowledge of OpenNMS or a demonstrably fast learning curve.

Expertise in designing and implementing monitoring solutions utilizing OpenNMS and other relevant tools (e.g., Kafka, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Cortex).

Proficiency in Linux and containerized environments ( Docker, Kubernetes ).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for a diverse audience.

A collaborative spirit and a passion for exceeding customer expectations.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.

Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash) and automation is a plus.

Familiarity with Grafana, Kubernetes/Openshift, Helm Charts, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) is a plus.

Experience developing custom plugins or integrations for OpenNMS is a plus
