What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wealth Management Associate position at NexWealth?
NexWealth, a registered investment advisor and multi-family office, is offering an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Wealth Management Associate to work alongside with firm executives to provide all aspects of client servicing to our high-net-worth clients. The individual must currently demonstrate wealth planning expertise in one or more areas of estate planning, income tax planning, asset protection techniques, retirement planning, cash flow analysis, insurance planning, and income tax efficiency. The Associate Wealth Planner will have the ability to grow through exposure to high-net-worth clients with sophisticated planning needs and by working with the existing Wealth Planning team to design and implement financial planning strategies.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree (JD with LLM in taxation preferred), CFA or CPA license
- Prior experience in a Law Firm, Accounting Firm, or Wealth Management Firm; specifically focused on areas of estate planning, personal income tax planning, asset protection, and/or retirement planning
- Strong detail orientation and highly self-motivated
- Ability to manage multiple clients with competing priorities in a fast paced and team focused environment
- Demonstrate the ability to operate both independently and in an integrated team
- Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM
Responsibilities:
- Primary contact for client service while providing immediate solutions or coordinating with other departments to ensure that clients’ requests are met
- Responsible for preparing and scheduling client meetings. Includes preparation of meeting materials, review of client files, and coordination with other team members and departments prior to client meeting
- Identify client specific planning issues in the areas of income tax, estate planning, retirement planning, liability exposure, and other planning areas
- Assist in designing strategies for client specific issues by gathering information, researching solutions, utilizing industry-specific software, and drafting memorandums
- Work directly with the clients outside advisors, such as attorneys, CPAs, and insurance brokers in order to implement wealth planning strategies
- Responsible for custodial account opening with consideration to titling of assets and beneficiary designations
- Responsible for account transactions and money movement
- Ensure client portfolios are properly aligned for income tax efficiency
- Ensure that clients are continually educated on new planning strategies and other firm initiatives
- Serve on firm’s planning committee to constantly improve client’s planning process and to expand the firm’s competency on various planning topics
- Collaborate with teammates to manage the client onboarding process
- Process and track client paperwork, including accounting opening, withdrawals, transfers, and contributions
