NEYRA Industries is a family-owned company built on a foundation of quality and integrity. We have over 50 years of experience and innovation in the pavement maintenance and athletic surface industry. We are currently looking for a Bulk Tanker Material Handler and Unloader to join our team.
Bulk Tanker Material Handler and Unloader is responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading large volumes of liquid materials from bulk tankers, typically using specialized equipment like pumps and hoses, while adhering to safety regulations and maintaining accurate inventory records; their work often involves inspecting tankers for damage, verifying product quality, and ensuring proper documentation is completed.
We are looking for a reliable, self-driven, and hard-working individual to support our plant, logistics company and customer service team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manages all bulk material deliveries and unloads all bulk tanker, clay and other raw material loads into manufacturing tank farm.
- Unloads all products properly when received into its assigned location within tank farm utilizing correct valves, mixers, pumps, etc.
- Connect hoses and pumps to the tanker truck to transfer liquid materials.
- Monitor flow rates and pressure levels during loading/unloading processes.
- Operate pumps and valves to control the transfer of materials.
- Ensure proper tank level monitoring and prevent overfilling or underfilling.
- Communicates with vendors and handles all necessary paperwork for deliveries.
- Schedules and manages offloading to keep production going.
- Talks to delivery drivers throughout the day about available offloading areas.
- Meters into tanks, tankers, drums or other specified containers, materials per company specifications.
- Controls the operation of manufacturing equipment (Tanks, piping, values, mixers, pumps, meters, scales, etc.) to ensure finished product is consistent with manufacturing specifications.
- Maintains storage tank pumps, packings, bearings and any other equipment involved in loading and or unloading bulk materials.
- Visually inspect tanker trucks for damage, leaks, and proper seals.
- Check and verify product identification and quality documentation.
- Perform pre-shift equipment checks on pumps, hoses, and safety gear.
- Checks quality of finished product to ensure that all specifications for product are met and adjusts as needed per plant manager instructions.
- Works with plant manager to ensure product quality specifications are met and notifies plant manager if plant equipment needs repairs.
- Maintains full knowledge of all of all Neyra products and raw material and knows where each item is located.
- Keeps loading and unloading areas clean, neat, and free of overruns, spill buckets, and all other unnecessary items.
- Reports any damage to finished material, forklift, trailer, tanker, building, etc. when accident occurs.
- Keeps plant manager informed of any potential problems associated with the loading or unloading of the specific products.
- Assists in monthly inventory as directed.
- Operates lift truck, hand pallet jacks, hand/automatic wrapping machine and skid loaders in a safe manner.
- Executes plant housekeeping and safety programs at all times.
- Cooperates and communicates with all Neyra employees.
- Performs all jobs in a safe, but efficient manner within all company, state and federal regulations.
- Operates all process equipment in a safe manner.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: Ability to use hand tools and trades type tools.
- Experience in bulk tanker unloading.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to use hand tools and trades type tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Required to bend, kneel, stoop, crawl and climb ladders as well as stairs and other equipment. Required to stand and walk. Maximum unassisted lift = 50lbs. Required to communicate with others.
ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Inside average factory building – not uniformly heated or air-conditioned. Exposed to dust, oil, grime, smoke, fumes and industrial lubricants. Noise level moderate. Exposed to grinding and welding debris. Required to abide by all safety regulations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
