Client is is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Associate Attorney with 3-5 years’ experience in general civil litigation defense, with an emphasis on tort work and first party defense practice.
Position Details:
- Represent clients in all phases of litigation involving first – and third – party cases.
- Conduct depositions, attend hearings, mediations, and argue motions.
- Interview witnesses, expert depositions, negotiate with opposing counsel.
- Conduct legal research, draft motions, memoranda, settlement agreements, and trial documents.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in insurance defense. Litigation experience preferred in one or more of the following areas: casualty, premise liability, product liability, first-party property, or complex litigation.
- Ability to handle files from inception to trial.
- Experience with depositions, hearings, meditations and trial.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Excellent research and writing abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong legal research skills and a strong work ethic.
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.
