POSITION SUMMARY
The Product Configuration Technician is primarily responsible for maintaining the Engineering product configurator. The successful applicant will review, maintain, and ensure accuracy of the reference buses within the product configurator.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Responsible for maintaining the product offering database.
- Reviews Engineering Change Notices (ECN’s) and Design Information Summaries (DIS’s) for maintenance of the product offering database.
- Create, maintain, and ensure the accuracy of the product matrices for all Bills of Materials (BoM) option group line items.
- Create, maintain, variant conditions and performs configuration tests within the product offering database.
- Responsible for the creation and maintenance for the rule checks and warning messages within the product offering database.
- Maintain the Option Value listing to ensure that it is compliant with current value solutions.
- Maintain Product Structure templates, to ensure consistency of use to facilitate future maintenance.
- Create and maintain the reference bus configurations for accuracy of use.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Post-secondary education (associative to Electrical or Mechanical preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of Bills of Materials.
- Familiarity with Siemens Product Configurator in TC is an asset.
- Proficient with relevant Computer applications.
- Excellent interpersonal skill and ability to communicate professionally.
- Must be organized and detail oriented.
- Flexible with Travel up to 5% of the time.
