Overview :
The Transportation Supervisor effectively coordinates the dedicated fleet by maximizing driver and equipment utilization while exceeding customer expectations through the direction of dispatch operations and all related reporting requirements to the customer and higher management.
Responsibilities :
Operations Management
- Provides day-to-day supervision to staff including coordinators, clerks, spotters, and drivers.
- Manages driver scheduling process and payroll data
- Coordinates load completions and data entry into TMW
- Coordinates with managers on the customer invoicing process and reconciles common carrier invoice and approvals
- Ensures that equipment is utilized in the most efficient manner
- Coordinates the maintenance of equipment with management and fleet
- Drafts and submits daily end of shift report
- Makes recommendations to management on initiatives and programs to improve operations and works on those programs
