POSITION SUMMARY
Under general supervision, inspects graphics, assembles, and test membrane switches in accordance to Work Order Package and department procedures {Electronics/Switches/Circuitry Assembly and Testing}
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assemble quality membrane switches and other switches as required.
- Hand laminates required material and die cut pieces together per applicable drawings using printed gauges and holding required placement tolerances.
- Sets up and connects connector machine and switch testing equipment.
- May perform tests on switch for functionality.
- Visually inspects graphics and circuit for defects. Segregates defects according to department procedures.
- Shrink wraps and stores circuits along with other items that are not scheduled to be assembled.
- Trains switch assemblers in departmental procedures.
- Follow all Department Work Instructions.
- Follows other work related responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- The minimum education required for this position is a high school diploma or GED or some college/associate’s degree; or one to three years experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Must be able to read a blueprint.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standard situations.
- Able to read blueprints/drawings, good eyesight, manual dexterity, able to follow verbal and written instructions, good communication skills.
- Electronics/Switches/Circuitry Assembly and Testing experience.
