NFI Massachusetts Inc., a non-profit human services agency, is currently seeking a Family Partner for our Family Resource Center (FRC) located in Lowell, MA. Bilingual capacity (Spanish and English) preferred.

The Lowell FRC is a member of the Massachusetts Family Resource Center Network and is open to all individuals and families living in the Greater Lowell Area and beyond. The FRC provides a variety of services including family support, career support, mental health counseling, education support, Child Requiring Assistance (CRA) intervention, and more. Services are provided on a walk-in and/or scheduled basis on-site and referrals are made to the FRC’s network of community providers as needed. We are committed to creating a kind and nurturing environment that affords its members the opportunity to access supports and resources tailored to meet their own unique individual and family needs. Our core services include information & referrals, psychoeducation classes, workshops, and support groups; we also operate a small food pantry and community closet supplied with basic need items.
The ideal candidate for the Family Partner role is someone with lived experience or familiarity with CRA (Child Requiring Assistance), juvenile court and child education systems. The Family Partner works together with the clinician to support youth and their families by assessing strengths & needs and developing a plan aimed at preventing or resolving CRA-related issues. The Family Partner also supports other aspects of FRC programming, including information and referral supports, workshops/classes as well as on site and community events.
Center Hours: M 9a-7p; T 9a-6p; W 9a-7p; Th 9a-5p; F 9a-3p; Sat. 2x/month for community events and by appointment only
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with Clinician to complete Family Strengths & Needs Assessment.
- Oversee development and implementation of Family Support Plan.
- Provide regular outreach to families, assisting with referral and application completion and locating resources.
- Provide support to members as indicated by member goals and circumstance.
- Facilitate support groups/workshops tailored to member and community needs.
- Work with FRC staff team to develop and maintain network of community partners.
- Maintain high quality and timely documentation to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Participate and plan events at the Family Resource Center.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be a parent/caregiver and have experience/knowledge of CRA.
- Ability to build relationships and maintain collaboration among community partners.
- Outstanding organizational, written and oral communication skills.
- Bilingual/Bicultural preferred.
- Flexible schedule including evening and weekend availability.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license
Hourly: $22/hour
Benefits for full time employees include: Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, 403(b)Retirement Plan, 3 weeks paid vacation time, Paid Sick Leave and Tuition reimbursement up to $2500 per fiscal year
