NFI Massachusetts, Inc., a private non-profit human service organization, is currently in need of a master’s level candidate for a community-based Substance Use program that encompasses both the Greater Merrimack Valley and the North Shore. NFI MA is looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to collaborate with individuals and families grappling with substance use challenges. This presents a distinctive opportunity to engage with individuals in their homes, offering essential support, education, and resources.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ongoing individual and family psychoeducation regarding impact of substance use.
- Knowledge of and connection to community resources.
- Maintaining contact with referring agencies, case workers, families, and collaterals.
- Completion of individual treatment plans that include the client’s participation.
- Facilitation and participation in treatment plan meetings, case conferences, and other clinical meetings.
- Collaboration with other natural and formal supports.
- Harm-reduction and recovery planning.
- Crisis intervention as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must have completed a Master’s degree in a behavioral science field.
- Some coursework in counseling required.
- Experience in the field of substance abuse required.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and writing skills.
- Knowledge of or training in trauma-informed treatment preferred.
- Flexible schedule including some evenings and Saturdays.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle a must.
- Bilingual- Spanish Speaking preferred but not required.
Work location: North Shore
Starting Salary: $68,000 annually.
