NFI Massachusetts Inc., a non-profit human services agency, is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Youth Counselors/Direct Care Staff for our residential program in Amesbury, MA. We are hiring for full-time, part-time, and per diem positions, with a specific need for 3 PM – 11 PM shifts.
Our residential programs work with youth who are in need of temporary out-of-home placement. Youth Counselors/Direct Care Staff provide support and supervision which includes life skills support, social and interpersonal skill development and community engagement. The goal is to provide youth with mentoring, guidance and to demonstrate positive role modeling so they may elect healthier choices to and learn new skills to use upon their discharge from the residential program.
Hourly Rate: $22.00/hr
Overtime opportunities available.
Youth Counselors/Direct Care Staff are responsible for:
- Provide direct care and support to all youth in the program.
- Help youth develop life skills and social competencies.
- Mentoring.
- Ensure the safety and security of the youth served.
- Demonstrate positive role modeling so they may elect healthier choices to and learn new skills to use upon their discharge from the program.
- Facilitate healthy and therapeutic recreational activities.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience with adolescent population.

- All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have a current, valid, US drivers' license.
