The Director of Development works to meet strategic fundraising goals by providing support in various ways, including leading and managing grant writing efforts and deliverables, ensuring donor intent is met by processing and recording gifts, managing the donor acknowledgment process, assisting donors in gift-making and/or providing program information. A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or social services degree with 3-5 years of development, grant writing or similar experience preferred.
This person will work closely with various teams and committees to maintain clear communication and improve workflow. They will work as part of the Business Office Team to foster growth and unity throughout departments. The Director of Development will have substantial contact with staff, donors and community members. They will participate in agency events related to sponsorship and donation allocations, including our Empowerment Awards and Annual Conference.
