NFI North is seeking a full time, year round Special Education Administrator/Assistant Program Director for its Contoocook School, a therapeutic day school program for grades 6 - 12. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join our team. This is a year-round position and offers the ability to assist in providing quality educational services to adolescents with mental health issues who are in need of special education services.
Job duties include, but are not limited to, assessing new referrals; development, coordination, maintenance of IEPs and all related services; curriculum development and review; supervision of education staff; oversight of the Master Plan for NH teacher recertification; and assisting the Program Director in the overall functioning and operation of the program to include administrative tasks (payroll, petty cash), coordinating with outside collaterals, and crisis intervention. This position is a member of the program management team. The Contoocook School embraces recreational hands-on activity learning, RENEW and Trust Based Relational Intervention with our day treatment school.
Qualifications: Master's Degree in Special Education and at least 5 years of experience working in Special Education. Must hold a current, valid NH education certification in Special Education Administration (0006) or Principal (0003). A strong knowledge of the NH Department of Education rules and regulations regarding both private special education programs and non-public schools, and an understanding of special education law and IDEA requirements. Experience with Google Suites for Education is preferred. Experience working with student populations with mental health challenges is preferred.
Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
