Manhattan Active WMS Implementation Manager

We are seeking a Manhattan Active WMS Implementation Manager to lead the end-to-end deployment, optimization, and continuous improvement of our Manhattan Warehouse Management System (WMS) across our 3PL operations. This role requires deep expertise in WMS rollouts, system configuration, and process development to enhance operational efficiency and maintain data integrity. This role offers a remote work opportunity for candidates based in the Savannah, GA area.

The ideal candidate will have a blend of 3PL engineering experience and a strong track record of managing WMS implementations, including configuring the system, using it as a tool to improve business processes, and implementing controls for master data management.

This hands-on leadership role will manage the full WMS product lifecycle, from feature design to rollout, as well as system troubleshooting and defect tracking. The candidate will serve as a functional expert on our customized Manhattan WMS application, working closely with design, development, and support teams to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

WMS Implementation & Project Management:

• Lead the end-to-end rollout of Manhattan WMS across our 3PL warehouse network, ensuring a smooth transition from legacy systems.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive WMS project plan, timeline, and milestones aligned with business objectives.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, software vendors, and third-party consultants to drive successful implementation.
• Own and manage the administrative function that tracks WMS product development lifecycle implementations.
• Act as the main point of contact for all project stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and resolution strategies.

System Configuration, Integration & Optimization:

• Configure WMS settings to align with warehouse workflows, master data management, warehouse efficiencies, and business requirements.
• Optimize system functionality to drive efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity, maintaining master data management best practices across warehouse operations.
• Implement best practices for system usage, ensuring consistent and standardized processes across sites.
• Ensure seamless integration between WMS and other enterprise software systems, improving overall data flow and system interoperability.
• Oversee the new master data setup, reporting analysis, and configuration management to maintain WMS integrity.

Testing, Troubleshooting & Compliance:

• Collaborate with IT teams and WMS vendors to establish testing environments for new configurations.
• Conduct rigorous system testing, including integration, user acceptance testing (UAT), and performance testing.
• Document and resolve any system defects, gaps, or performance issues, working closely with vendors or IT teams to drive solutions.
• Ensure the WMS meets all compliance, regulatory, and operational standards within the 3PL industry.

Training, Change Management & User Adoption:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive training program to educate warehouse teams on WMS functionality, workflows, and best practices.
• Conduct hands-on training sessions, including creating user manuals, guides, and other training resources.
• Provide ongoing support and coaching to end-users, ensuring smooth adoption and optimal system usage.
• Drive change management initiatives, helping teams transition from legacy systems while maintaining productivity and engagement.

Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement:

• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure WMS success and warehouse efficiency.
• Analyze post-launch WMS performance, identifying opportunities for further system optimization.
• Provide regular project updates, budget reports, and recommendations to executive leadership.
• Work cross-functionally to refine system features, ensuring continued improvement and scalability.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 5 years of experience in WMS project management, system rollouts, and logistics software implementations in a warehouse or 3PL environment.
• 5 years of experience in Manhattan WMS, including configuration, troubleshooting, and data management.
• 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, supply chain processes, and 3PL logistics.
• 5 years of experience in managing large-scale Manhattan WMS implementations, from planning to execution.
• 5 years of experience with software testing, system integration, and performance optimization.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder communication, and change management skills.
• 5 years of experience in developing and delivering staff training programs for WMS adoption.
