Overview
The Palletizer Operator is responsible for operating the control panel for automatic palletizing equipment to sort, transfer, and stack to pallets the cases of finished product. The operator is responsible for reading packaging specifications to ensure correct pallet type and arrangement of cases onto pallet matches specification. They must understand and align business operations as they execute their role to exceed customer expectations and align with operational objectives.
Responsibilities

Responsibilities
- Operates control panel for automatic palletizing equipment to sort, transfer, and stack on pallets the cases of finished product. Reads packaging specifications to ensure correct pallet type and arrangement of cases onto pallet matches specification.
- Observes pallets moving along conveyors to identify defective cases, slip sheets or pallets.
- Turns selector switch on palletizer to control stacking arrangement of cases on pallet and to transfer loaded pallet to delivery platform.
- Supplies loading equipment with empty pallets and slip sheets.
- Stops and restarts equipment to clear jams.
- Informs supervisor of equipment malfunction.
- Operate automatic bagger equipment by threading bag and going through the startup process.
- Sitting or standing, depending on changing job assignment, for extended periods.
- Ability to perform consistent and repetitive tasks.
- Physical and visual activities that are commonly associated with the performance
- Standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), carrying (up to 50 lbs.), pushing, pulling, twisting (re-piling loads), kneeling, bending, reaching, going up and downstairs, visual acuity (near and far).
- Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
- Lift Operation with clamp and fork attachments.
- Use of various hand and electrical tools and equipment.
- Work in areas of fluctuating temperature.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Conveyor experience and PLC (Programmable Logistics Controllers) is a plus.
- Must be able to work other shifts if needed and perform overtime work as required.
- Must have excellent communication skills, communicating with people at all levels throughout the organization.
- Qualified candidates will be mechanically inclined, solution oriented and some computer knowledge.
