As NFM's Software Development Manager you would be responsible for oversight and execution of one or more business software implementation within Information Technology. Partner with leaders across the business footprint to drive expected operational and / or technical results through governance, project management, planning, and process improvements. Exercise sound business and technical judgments in managing the initiation, planning, and execution of assigned initiatives. This is a remote position requiring the candidate to reside in NE, IA, MO, KS or TX.
Job Duties : A Day in the Life
- Be Precise : Gathers and reports project costs, identifies and fix issues, anticipates risks and develops risk mitigation plans - Delivers all reporting and monitors progress toward achievement
- Collaborate : Scopes projects with key stakeholders, develops implementation project plans according to allocated budget and expected timeline
- Support : Ensures clear communication of goals, costs, risks, efforts involved, as well as on the progress of the project
- Play your Part : Drives implementation consistency and quality through execution of project management best practices- Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path items
- Work the Plan : Manages and leads the assigned projects, work streams or forums responsible for the project until deliverables are completed- Ensures that all projects are compliant with NFM rules, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications : Can You Check These Boxes?
Bachelor's degree with area of specialization in Information Systems or related fieldMinimum 7 years' experience in IT preferably in retail industryMinimum 5 years of software development experienceMinimum 3 years of experience in Project Management and Agile FrameworksAbility to work both independently and within a team framework and to motivate colleagues in order to manage projects most effectivelyAbility to manage multiple projects of medium or greater size, complexity, and impactAbility to accomplish difficult tasks and make decisions with minimal supervision / review by othersStrong communication and presentation skills. (required to prepare presentations for Senior Managers)Comprehensive understanding of application software and system concepts and the ability to apply them for the completion of difficult assignments4 years' experience with using the Microsoft suite of tools (Excel, Word, Power Point, Project)2 years' experience with Agile tools like Jira and Azure DevOpsDemonstrated leadership experience leading high performing teams or organizations through significant change preferredPrevious experience in re-engineering business application preferredGood knowledge in cloud technologies, architecture, and services preferredAbility to work night, weekend and / or early morning hours based on business needsPre-employment screening includes, but isn't limited to, criminal background checkApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the USA on a full-time basis.
