Stress Analyst

Role : Stress Engineer

Location : Wichita, KS

Job Description:

• Perform Static, fatigue and dynamic stress analysis for Aero structures

• Experience in Fleet Support (Preparing repair schemes, performing static & fatigue analysis)

• Use of classical hand calculation approach to analyze both primary and secondary structures

• Repair knowledge, selection of failure criteria

• Experience in metallic and composite structures/components.

• Use of Finite Element Methods for load extraction and to solve complex engineering problems

• Participate in review meetings with Client, Customer and Suppliers.

• Engineering Stress report generation and review.

• Interact with customer; prepare Scope of Work, laydown the execution methodology to ensure that the projects executed meet the customer requirements. Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering

• At least 8 -12 years of experience in Aerospace Industry as a Stress Engineer.

• Comprehensive knowledge Stress analysis of Aero structures, Nacelle and EBU systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Aerospace industry and standards

• Hands-on experience of using Boeing Tools, Boeing Design Manuals

• Fleet Support Experience – Boeing

• Working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 26

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Knowledge of Aerospace industry and standards

• Experienced in PATRAN, NASTRAN, FEMAP, Canvas

• Experience in MRB and SRM

• Experience in CATIA V5, Enovia

• Ability to excel in a hybrid virtual / on-site environment in a highly dynamic, team-oriented atmosphere.

Job Type: Contract
