JOB SUMMARY
This position leads and motivate a team tasked with ensuring consistent high standards of cleanliness and service throughout the hotel. He/she will be responsible for managing daily Housekeeping operations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.
EXPERIENCE
External:
· At least 1 year experience developing similar functions in other hotel chains, or related industries, NEW YORK UNION HOTEL preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
· High school diploma or equivalent education.
· Fluency in local language is a must and knowledge of Spanish highly valuable.
· Working knowledge of various computer software programs (Microsoft Office, etc.).
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Your tasks and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
· Plan, schedule, and organize work to ensure proper coverage by the floor staff.
· Support floor staff in the cleaning and preparation of rooms, in case of urgency, incidence or need.
· Supervise common areas (lobby, lounges, hallways, etc.) and hotel rooms prepared and cleaned by floor staff (owned or subcontracted companies).
· Periodically organize the general cleanings of the hotel as well as communicate to the maintenance department the elements to be fixed.
· Collaborate with the reception department in the allocation of specific rooms based on the particular requirements or characteristics of the guests.
· Make the inventory and control of all the flooring department material (cleaning, amenities, etc.).
· Control the expenses within all areas of housekeeping and participate in the preparation of the annual departmental budget.
· Develop and implement procedures for managing quality of housekeeping and laundry services.
· Handle and monitor comments, suggestions and complaints from guests, creating and executing action plans.
· Supervise and carry out the tasks of preventive sanitary hygiene maintenance.
· Train team members
· Provide supervision, feedback and recognition to the team members on their performance and development.

ADITTIONAL INFORMATION
· You are required to check room status on shifts. This may include weekends and/or holidays. PM Shift required.
· Will report to the Director of Housekeeping.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
