What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dish Preparation Coordinator position at NHC?
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks related to cleaning and sanitizing in our facility.
- Properly transport and store dishes, flatware, utensils, pots/pans, etc.
- Clean and sanitize the dish machine and dish room
- Scrape, stack, wash, & sanitize dishes, flatware, utensils, pots/pans, etc
- Wrap flatware if needed
- Bus tables in dining room and clean/sanitize tabletops
- Assist in receiving and storing food/ supplies to prevent waste and assure quality products
- And other duties as assigned
Requirements:
We require an individual with a strong understanding of food safety procedures and the ability to work under supervision.
- A sincere interest in foodservice and enjoyment of working with senior care living population and other healthcare patients.
- Knowledge of therapeutic and modified consistency diets information or desire to learn for preparing and serving patient trays.
- Understanding of correct sanitation and food safety procedures.
- Ability to fulfill responsibilities, arrive on time, and work during scheduled shifts.
- Sanitation Course certification (approved by NHC standards and state regulations).
- Ability to work under supervision.
