NHK Seating of America, Inc. is owned by NHK Spring of Japan. The Frankfort plant supports an Automotive company in Lafayette. We supply the seats in a fast-paced, Just-In-Time environment. A finished seat can come off our line about every minute. The work is very repetitive and physically demanding. Our production requirements are directly linked to our customer, as customer demand increases and decreases on a daily basis so does NHK Seat production requirements. During reduced hour days, we offer 4 or 8 hours of work in effort for all full-time associates to reach a minimum of a 40 hour work week.
Position: Part-Time
Pay Wage: $17.00
Schedule: Monday- Friday: 1st Shift 6:00 am-11:00 am, 9:00 am-2:30pm / 2nd Shift 4:30pm-9:30pm, 9:00pm-2:00am
Weekend: Saturday and Sunday 6:00am- 6:00pm
Requirements and Physical Abilities
- Physical Ability to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movements.
- Physical Ability to lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to walk or stand up to 12 hours
- Ability to rotate to different workstations as production needs require
- Ability to read and follow work instructions
- Ability to manage multiple functions at one time and rotate to different work stations as production needs require
- Ability to use air and battery powered tools (hog ring gun, torque wrenches, screw driver, drill etc)
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable
