Pastry Chef

Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. Duties

• Prepare a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Utilize proper techniques for baking, including measuring ingredients accurately and following food preparation guidelines.
• Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, ensuring high-quality presentation for customer satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations and best practices.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely production of baked goods during peak service times.
• Assist in inventory management by packaging finished products appropriately and monitoring ingredient supplies.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests when necessary and responding to special requests or dietary restrictions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques and pastry preparation methods.
• Proficiency in cake decorating skills with an eye for detail and creativity.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools, including knives and mixers.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team setting.
• A culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus but not required; passion for baking is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 40 per week
