Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with a particular focus on creating high-quality pastries and desserts. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. As a Pastry Cook, you will play a vital role in enhancing our menu offerings and ensuring customer satisfaction through delicious baked goods.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and breads according to established recipes and standards.
  • Assist in the development of new pastry recipes and menu items that align with seasonal trends.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and various baking tools.
  • Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries about pastry offerings and accommodating special requests.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food preparation and production within the food industry, specifically in baking or pastry making.
  • Strong knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
  • Proficient in using kitchen tools such as knives, mixers, and ovens.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  • A passion for baking and creating visually appealing pastries that delight customers.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.64 - $23.54 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
