Position Summary:
The Patient Scheduler plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless coordination of patient appointments and effective clinic operations. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient communication. The Patient Scheduler will be responsible for managing scheduling processes, verifying patient information, and collaborating with team members to optimize clinic efficiency.
Responsibilities including, but not limited to:
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of provider time and treatment room availability.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries, providing clear and empathetic communication about scheduling.
- Make outbound calls to assist patients with scheduling consultations, procedures, and follow-up appointments, while managing cancellations and rescheduling as needed.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and maintain accurate records in Open Dental.
- Collaborate with referring doctors and clinical staff to ensure accurate scheduling.
Required Skill and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in medical or dental office scheduling, call center, or customer service required.
- Familiarity with scheduling software like Open Dental or similar patient charting system.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and compassionate phone demeanor.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.
- Must be willing to travel.

- Competitive hourly rate: $20.00-$25.00.
