What are the responsibilities and job description for the Consultant Radiology with GI Interest (SJM) position at NHS Ayrshire & Arran?

Applicants must have full GMC Registration, a license to practise and eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specilaist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specilaist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR -Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded. Non UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training
Applications are welcome for the above Permanent, full time (40 hours per week) post based in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary Hospital.
You will have all the skills expected of a general radiologist, along with specialist training in GI/HPB radiology. You will become a core member of the GI imaging team and be involved in decision making, including at MDM. Ability to perform image guide biopsy would be preferable.
You will contribute to the on-call rota, which comes with access to a home workstation. This can also be used for home working for some of your normal working week.
It is essential you are registered with the GMC, have a licence to practice and be either on, or within 6 months of eligibility of admission to the specialist register at time of interview (intended February 2025 or later).
