We are excited to announce that we are looking for Outreach and Day Support Workers to join our established Supporting Independent Living in the Community Team with in the Portree area.
This permanent post supports our vision of a highly skilled, experienced, flexible workforce that has knowledge and skills in delivering modernised services. You would be a valued member of a dedicated, professional Care at Home and Housing Support Team delivering a high standard of care and support within the local community. You will be supporting people with a learning disability to achieve their personal outcomes. The work is dynamic and varied.
One of our Service's top priorities is nurturing the next generation of staff. The ideal candidate would be enthusiastic and dedicated to delivering high quality care and support and enjoy working within a close team of colleagues. You will be working with and supported by the Service Manager and Band 4 – Senior Workers. The team as a whole will provide you with expert advice with any complex issues, updates of clients and developing sound practice within your role. A full induction will be provided as well as on-going training and support throughout your career.
The right candidate will have of experience in dealing with vulnerable adults, especially people with a learning disability. They must also have good verbal and written communication skills. There would be an expectation that an SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, or a willingness and ability to work towards this qualification within an agreed time scale is an essential part of this post. A full UK driving licence is required by the post holder.
