We are in search of Restorative Nurse - RN
- The Restorative Nurse assumes the daily responsibility and accountability for the restorative aspect of the nursing care of all residents assigned.
- Coordinates other personnel in the delivery of restorative care and services according to each resident’s comprehensive resident assessment and plan of care.
- Utilizes resources in an efficient and economic manner to ensure that each resident achieves the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well being.
- Confer with the Director of Nursing Services and/or licensed nursing personnel regarding restorative care of residents in the facility.
- Participates in MDS/RAI process and care planning of restorative care needs based on policies and procedures.
- Initiate requests for therapy/evaluation. Must respond to requests from the resident, physician or nursing staff. Be liaison between therapy and nursing department.
- Evaluate the resident and his/her records or charts, and discriminate between normal and abnormal findings in order to recognize when to refer the resident to a physician for evaluation, supervision or directions.
- Implement and maintain established policies and procedures relative to restorative care. Must interpret the policy and procedures to the physician, resident and family members.
- Must be Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and meet all applicable Federal and State requirements
- Must demonstrate basic nursing skills and knowledge necessary to care for the elderly and disabled
- Must demonstrate leadership and supervisory skills
- Must have patience, tact, enthusiasm and positive attitude towards the elderly and disabled
