Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction and Maintenance Supervisor to oversee all construction and maintenance projects across our network of nursing homes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing projects efficiently and effectively, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and codes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement construction and maintenance plans for each facility.
- Coordinate and supervise all construction projects, including renovations, repairs, and new builds.
- Manage maintenance operations, ensuring that all equipment and facilities are in good working order.
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs and schedule repairs as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Manage vendors, internal budget, crew hiring and supervision
- Manage budgets and costs associated with construction and maintenance projects.
- Hire, train, and supervise maintenance staff.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Must be willing to travel the state of Alabama frequently as well as occasional trips to Arkansas, Florida and Missouri
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction and maintenance management for a company with multiple locations
- Five years of experience with drywall, tile, plumbing, painting, HVAC, etc
- Strong project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
