Glasgow/Edinburgh: hybrid working will apply for the foreseeable future
The remit of the Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) is to provide advice to NHS Boards and their Area Drug and Therapeutic Committees (ADTCs) across Scotland about the status of all newly licensed medicines, all new formulations of existing medicines and indications of established products.
As a Programme Manager for SMC, you would be employed by Healthcare Improvement Scotland. You will work with team members across SMC in the establishment and delivery of a new programme focussing on reviewing health technology assessment methodologies.
You will contribute to the planning, management and delivery of SMC’s work programmes, through responsibility for coordinating project plans, communicating clearly with internal and external stakeholders, including regular progress reports, and ensuring all projects are delivered on time and to a high quality. You will have experience of managing projects and be able to demonstrate an ability to manage multiple simultaneous work-streams. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and have experience of engaging with a range of professionals. Applicants should be able to demonstrate good time management strategies and prioritisation skills, and will have previously worked in the NHS/public sector. This post will include line management responsibilities.
