What are the responsibilities and job description for the Healthcare Support Worker position at NHS Tayside?

We currently have vacancies for Health Care Support Workers, within Psychiatry of Old Age services, Angus. We are a very friendly and welcoming service which consists of a 13 bedded functional assessment unit, 2 organic assessment & challenging behaviour units, which are located on two sites across Angus Stracathro Hospital, and Whitehills Health & Community Care Centre.
Experience in a caring environment would be desirable, although not essential; however you should have a flexible approach to working and an interest in dealing with older people with mental health problems. Excellent communication skills, basic numeracy skills and a caring and understanding nature are essential.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment
Hours of work: full and part time available. It is a requirement of the posts that you participate in the provision of a 24-hour service and you will be required to work day or night duty dependant on the needs of the service. This will be remunerated, accordingly.
