About the Opportunity
We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist in Medical Psychotherapy to join our team in the Regional Department of Psychotherapy.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team, providing high-quality services to patients. They will also contribute to the development of the department's strategy and leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 16 hours per week of assessments and psychotherapy (individual/group) depending on service need.
- Supervise doctors and other professionals in their psychotherapy practice.
- Contribute to the department's overall vision and strategy.
Requirements:
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Experience in medical education, clinical research, or management (especially in a field related to psychotherapy).
- Registration with BPC or UKCP as a psychodynamic or psychoanalytic psychotherapist.
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
