Part Time Music Instructor - Introduction to Sound
SUNY Niagara has a need for a part time Music / Theatre Instructor for our Introduction to Sound course. This course is taught in person in a classroom setting on our Sanborn, NY campus. This is a lecture-demonstration-laboratory-performance and operation course. The content areas include responsibility of an audio engineer, principles of sound, equipment, all aspects of audio production from pre-production through post-production.
The practical experience would be provided through participation in one or more of the productions presented in the theatre space (not limited to theatre productions) and any other available relevant audio related productions that may happen throughout the semester.
Remuneration for this position is : $915 per lecture hour / $819 per lab hour.
Typical Work Activities :
- Teach course on campus.
- Track attendance as needed.
- Report on student learning outcomes at the end of the semester.
- Report grades at the conclusion of the semester.
