General Description : SUNY Niagara has a need for a part-time Technical Assistant to work in both our Music department and Audio Recording and Production department within our Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences division. Working shifts of a minimum of 4 hours per day would be expected or as needed primarily between 8am-4pm on normal business days.
The rate of pay is based on the level of education the candidate possesses. For a Bachelor’s degree or lower, the rate of pay will be $21.22 per hour. For a Master’s degree or higher, the rate of pay will be $23.34 per hour.
In order to build and maintain an active pool of qualified candidates, SUNY Niagara will accept applications on a continuous basis. Openings may or may not exist at this time. Applications are evaluated on an as-needed basis, and candidates will be contacted when the department has an opening.
Typical Work Activities : Job responsibilities include inventory, setup for classes or events, repair / maintenance, research replacement parts and quotes / prices. Be able to solder cables if needed.
Essential Functions : Must be able to operate computers; relate to a diverse population of students; communicate verbally and in writing; and physically perform the functions of the position.
