The Niagara Crossing Hotel & Spa located in the quaint village of Lewiston NY is seeking dedicated team members to provide exceptional service for all our guests!
The front desk agent is responsible for assisting guests during the day or into the night. This includes but is not limited to checking guests in, checking guests out, answering phones, assisting with any complaints or issues, maintaining the public areas to ensure cleanliness, assisting with laundry when needed, and processing payments in accordance with company guidelines. Accommodate guests of hotel by performing the following duties.
Must have open availability on weekends and holidays.
Shifts are 8a-4p or 4p-12a but are not limited to 8a-4p or 4p-12a and can be in a variation of times between 6a-2a when needed. Other times and shifts may be scheduled based on availability and employees given permission.
Wages: Starting rate is $15.15 per hour
The guest experience begins at check in, and the check in process sets the tone for the guest stay. Therefore we are looking for someone with exceptional customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Must be able process reservations, registration, payment, and departures is accordance with company guidelines and procedures.
Check out all guests who require individualized check out service. Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests. Issues room key and gives instructions to guests.
Handles professionally, incoming calls, mail, faxes, and messages for guests and staff members. Transmits and receives telephones messages, in-house paging system and/or in-house radio system. Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests; and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
Keeps records of room availability and guests’ accounts. Computes bill, collects payment, and makes change for guests. Makes, cancels, and confirms reservations. Posts charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone to guest account. Assists guest with restaurant, transportation, or entertainment needs, and arranges for tours or tells guests how to book them.
Handles complaints courteously and relays them through proper channels if need be. Smiles and maintains a friendly, courteous, and polite manner.
Complete knowledge of all available rates. Maintains desk area clean and orderly at all times. Complete knowledge of hotel policies and procedures.
Complete daily shift checklist.
Calls area hotels to inquire about availability as necessary.
Keep constant eye contact with all guests and use the guest’s name whenever possible.
Setting up, stocking and maintaining the grab and go breakfast. This includes but is not limited to wrapping food to put out, stocking the items in the breakfast and back stock, changing garbage’s, sweeping, and mopping the breakfast area, and cleaning items in the breakfast area.
Inspecting public areas and restrooms for cleaning and maintenance.
Compliance with all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to prompt reporting of all safety and security issues directly to the manager or to the appropriate authorities.
Assist with the cleaning of any areas of the hotel assigned by the manager when needed to. This includes but is not limited to front desk, breakfast area, vending areas, stairwell, common areas, and guest rooms.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: No prior experience mandatory but is preferred. Training will be required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent's given for discounts.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
