Niagara Dental Implant & Oral Surgery is a leading and patient-centric oral surgery practice. We are the only robotic surgical dental practice in WNY and boast a fully digital workflow for our implant surgery. We recently moved into our state of the art facility in Williamsville, NY. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lead Oral Surgery Assistant to join our dedicated team. Responsibilities:
Surgical Procedure Execution: You will be responsible for the precise execution of surgical procedures, assisting oral surgeons during various treatments. Your extensive knowledge and experience in oral surgery techniques, instruments, and sterilization protocols will contribute to successful patient outcomes.
Team Maximization: As the Lead Oral Surgery Assistant, you will take a leadership role in maximizing the effectiveness of our surgical assisting team. You will provide training, mentorship, and ongoing support to assist the team members in reaching their full potential.
Schedule Management: You will be responsible for efficiently managing the surgical schedule, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and minimizing wait times for patients. Your exceptional organizational skills and ability to adapt to unexpected changes will help us maintain a smooth workflow.
Patient Flow Management: You will oversee the management of patient flow throughout their surgical journey, ensuring a seamless experience from arrival to post-operative care. Your ability to prioritize patient needs, address concerns, and provide compassionate support will enhance patient satisfaction.
Collaboration and Teamwork: Working closely with our oral surgeons, treatment coordinators, administrative staff, and other assistants, you will foster a collaborative and harmonious work environment. Your excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team will contribute to the overall success of our practice.
Inventory Management: You will be responsible for ensuring that all dental implant and surgical supply and equipment inventory is updated and maintained.
Equipment Management: To be responsible perform ensure timely maintenance on all equipment used for surgery and sterilization procedures.
Requirements:
Oral Surgery Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Oral Surgery Assistant is essential for this role. Your proficiency in assisting with a wide range of oral surgical procedures, including dental extractions, dental implants, and bone grafting, is crucial to your success. DAANCE certification is not required but preferred. Salary is commensurate with this certification as well as ACLS certification.
