What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Telemetry position at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center?
Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center is currently looking for a Director to join our team in our Telemetry Department!
Responsibilities:
-He/she maintains 24-hour responsibility, accountability, and administrative authority for all patient care activities, department operations, and staff functions. He/she collaborates with all members of the health care team to effectively coordinate the delivery of patient care for specific aged based patient populations.
-Effectively guides, directs, and monitors clinical nursing practice for specific patient populations to assure that nursing care delivery is performed within established standards of practice, quality, and performance.
-Evaluates staff performance at appropriate intervals as established per hospital policy with written evaluations that include goal setting.
-Maintains responsibility of department through coaching, mentoring, and consistently demonstrating strong leadership behaviors.
Education:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing Required (BSN).
- Current New York State Professional Nurse Licensure Required.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience relevant to patient population.
- Previous management experience preferred.
