What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gift Shop Manager position at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center?
Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center is looking for a Gift Shop Manager. This position is part time at 26 hours per week Monday - Friday. Hours of operation are 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. or we will work around your schedule.
MAIN FUNCTION: Plans and directs all merchandising, buying, pricing, bookkeeping, display and sales of goods in the Gift Shop. Directs and coordinates all volunteer efforts in the operation of the Gift Shop.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Develops and implement a merchandising plan to include purchasing, pricing, inventory, display.
2. Communicates regularly with the Auxiliary Gift Shop Chairman and/or co-chairman.
3. Supervises the activities of the Gift Shop volunteers.
4. Prepares and maintains daily, weekly, monthly, and annual records as required to accurately reflect revenues and expenses related to Gift shop activities.
5. Prepares reports and statistics as required.
6. Operates the Gift Shop in the absence of volunteer assistance.
7. Ensures through sound management the business growth and profitability of the Gift Shop.
8. Performs other related duties as assigned.
