General Description of Duties:

(Job duties include, but, are not limited to the following)

Job Description – Tanking

• Perform mechanical operations necessary in transformer assembly, tanking and wiring

• Read and interpret prints, wiring schematics and written instructions

• Usage of various electrical devices to test control wiring

• Work off of ladders, lifts and scaffolds

• Ability to work on high platforms and in tight spaces

• Use tools such as saws, grinders, drill presses, etc., safely and with efficiency

• Lay out, cut, thread and bend conduit

• Solder, braze, aluminum weld and pass a test for certification

• Candidate will be trained in the use of fork trucks and cranes

• Interpret and carry out verbal instructions from designated persons or supervisors

• Ability to meet the company's standards for safety, quality and quantity of work

• Must have own tools•

Essential Minimum Physical Demand Job Requirements:

• Standing continuously

• Walking frequently

• Working above shoulder height frequent

• Forward bending in standing frequent

• Rotation in standing frequent

• Working in confined spaces occasionally

• Ladder climbing frequently

• Mobile stair climbing frequently

• Confined spaces.

Dexterity

• High level of hand coordination for tool use

• High level of hand coordination it preforms assemble activates

• Above average grip strength for tool use

• Above average pinch strength for lifting core steel

Agility-Material Handling

• Lifting coils from floor to waist weighting up to 80# occasionally

• Lifting man hole covers weighing up to 60#

Skills or Specialization Required

Must be able to safely work with power tools

Must be able to follow directions and read instructions

Good math skills, able to read a tape measure and take accurate measurements

Compensation details: 21-24 Hourly Wage
