Nursing Clinical Assistant Professor (Grant Funded)

SUNY Niagara invites applications for a full time Nursing Clinical Assistant Professor to provide exceptional clinical instruction for students in our Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Certificate and Registered Nurse (RN) Associate of Applied Science (AAS) programs.The Nursing Clinical Assistant Professor plays a vital role in preparing students for the complexities of modern nursing practice. This position emphasizes patient-focused, hands-on training in clinical and lab settings while fostering the critical thinking and technical skills necessary for student success.The instructor will also be responsible for program coordination, student advisement, assessment of learning outcomes, participation in divisional and college activities, and all required duties as outlined in the Faculty Handbook. The typical teaching load is 18 lecture/lab hours per semester. Clinicals may consist of one 12-hour and one 6-hour clinical per week or three 6-hour clinicals per week. Clinical assignments may be during the day, evening, or weekend hours. Classes are held on SUNY Niagara’s main campus in Sanborn, NY. In addition, the instructor will be responsible for attending regular office hours, meetings on campus, and participating in committees.The base salary of $67,953 per year equates to $59.92 per hour given the 162-day professional obligation of the position. In addition to the base salary, there are many ways to increase the salary further by teaching overload, teaching summer courses, doing special assignments etc. There is a tenure track pathway for promotion to higher level salaries of Associate Professor and ProfessorSelected candidates may be eligible to receive fully paid tuition scholarship to earn a Master’s of Science in Nursing Education.SUNY Niagara also provides phenomenal benefits.
