What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Music Instructor - Conducting position at niagaracc-suny?
SUNY Niagara has a need for a part time Music Instructor for our Conducting course.This course is taught in person in a classroom setting on our Sanborn, NY campus. The objective of this course is to introduce the student to the basics of conducting proficiency, terminology, and score study. Conducting technique, posture, preparatory gestures, the ictus, eye contact, meters, releases, fermatas, styles, dynamics, hand autonomy, cues, entrances, baton technique, repertoire, and rehearsal procedure will be explored. Students will have opportunity to conduct in class, rehearsal, and/or performance venues as well as to attend local performances.Remuneration for this position is: $915 per lecture hour/$819 per lab hour.In order to build and maintain an active pool of qualified candidates to meet our present and future needs for this position, SUNY Niagara will accept applications on a continuous basis.
