What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Music Instructor - Foundations of Music Theory position at niagaracc-suny?
SUNY Niagara has a need for a part time Music Instructor for our Foundations of Music Theory course.This course is taught in person in a classroom setting on our Sanborn, NY campus. This is an introductory course that presents the basics of musical notation. Topics covered include melodic and rhythmic notation, clefs, scales, key signatures, principles of rhythm, and chord symbols. The ability to read music notation is the course content. The course is recommended for the non-music major or students without previous music experience. (Usually offered Fall and Spring semesters.).Remuneration for this position is: $915 per lecture hour/$819 per lab hour.In order to build and maintain an active pool of qualified candidates to meet our present and future needs for this position, SUNY Niagara will accept applications on a continuous basis. Openings may or may not exist at this time. Applications are evaluated on an as-needed basis, and candidates will be contacted when the department has an opening.
