The CNC Programmer will be responsible for the creation and revision of CNC programs while adhering to quality requirements and workmanship standards. Program CNC lathes and mills utilizing Mastercam for new products, fixtures, and tooling. Also responsible for building and maintaining relationships in a team environment modeling professionalism, inter-personal skills, problem solving, adaptability, and personal value commitment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Program multi axis lathes and 4 axis mills.
- Use Mastercam CAM software package to plan processes and develop fixturing, tooling and machine programs.
- Keep programming and design software updated.
- Provide simple and complex written and spoken communication links.
- Review Processes within the department and monitor on a continuous basis for effectiveness and possible improvements.
- Schedule, track, and monitor projects.
- 3D modeling.
- Participate in quoting machined parts.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Desired Skills
- 3 years of Programming and 5 years machining experience.
- Proficient in mid-level programming including 3D, surfacing, canned cycles, dynamic, transforms and high speed
- Professional development and Technical/trade school training strongly preferred
- Experience with Inventor, Solidworks, NCSimul or other CAD/CAM or simulation software strongly preferred
- Excellent problem solving and conceptual skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have a proficient understanding of G-code and M-code.
- Proficient with GD&T
- Experience machining a variety of metal alloys including aluminum, stainless steel, copper, brass. Additional experience with plastics such as teflon a plus.
- Experience in semiconductor industry and Copy Exact a plus
