We are looking for an Industrial/Process Engineering Intern to support the Warehouse department reorganize over 80,000 unique parts to maximize efficiency and support the low-volume high-mix production schedule. The Warehouse engineer will be cross trained to perform various tasks in Purchasing, Receiving, and Kitting and Inventory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
Support Warehouse layout management
- Preform data analysis & support the reorganization of inventory according to data
- Identify opportunities to improve kitting efficiency
- Physically reorganize inventory
- Perform cycle count
- Support documentation of warehouse organization
Support de-trashing of stored material and material handling
- Usage reports on lower level parts
- Material handling and space efficient packaging methods
- Understanding of proper material handling practices
- Supply chain coordination on packaging and sample sizing
- Prepare Inventory analysis and Shortage analysis
- Support the design layout for finished good warehouse
- Support the improvement of floor stock Program
- Conduct production capacity analysis to ensure operational efficiency
- Conduct wall to wall inventory checks / inventory audits
- Other projects based on management discussion, data analysis, and identified opportunities
- Support the improvement of kitting process efficiency by analyzing workflows and identifying areas for enhancement
- Report daily activities to responsible supervisor
- Ensure all work processes meet safety standards and address any safety concerns

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be in a stationary position; move within the facilities, constantly operate machining equipment and tools, inspect surroundings and equipment, occasionally ascends/descends a ladder, communicate with others, detect odors, and transport equipment up to 30 pounds
