We are looking for a Master Technician to join our Ohio engineering team.
Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Takes total responsibility for a high temperature furnace set up and operation for sintering and joining of ceramics
- Performs timely setups for production of green and sintered ceramics adhering to close tolerances.
- Participates and take active part in discussions on production of prototypes, preparation of test samples, etc.
- Maintains equipment to ensure equipment down time is kept to a minimum.
- Secures all tooling and downstream equipment prior to upcoming runs.
- Reads and interprets routine drawings.
- Documents details of work for others to follow the procedures and manages changes to standard operating procedures.
- Maintains good housekeeping practices
- Use all tools and equipment provided by the company in a safe and respectful manner.
Desired Skills;
- Minimum - High school diploma or GED required with 10-15 years of relevant experience OR
- Preferred: B.S. with 5 years of relevant experience.
- More than ten years of experience in working with high temperature vacuum furnaces, CNC machines, and dealing with advanced materials.
- Ability for meticulous organization of workspace and equipment
- Prefer candidates that are mechanically inclined and have previously worked in a specialty materials manufacturing environment.
- Candidates must have good visual observation skills.
- Must pay very close attention to the part or product being manufactured.
- Good common sense to make judgement calls regarding parts / products.
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read and follow SOP's and Work Instructions.
- Ability to use various instruments to test, measure, prototype characteristics
- PC Literate / Able to use a computer / Fluent in Windows environment.
