Position purpose
The Mechanical Designer creates mechanical fabrication drawings and documents for our heater department.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
- Review project requirements
- Produce 3D drawings based on specs
- Interact with sales and project engineering to resolve questions
- Revise drawings to meet customer final requirements
- Create BOM and do calculations to ensure accuracy
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent in drafting/design
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience
- Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor 2016
- Ability to read drawings, as well as P& ID
- Knowledge of ASME code
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand specifications
