SALARY RANGE: $70 TO $87K ANNUALLY
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
- Review and evaluate First Article Inspections (FAIs) on parts provided from the production teams or component suppliers and determine compliance to requirements.
- Measure and evaluate quality of pre-production sample products using manual measurement tools including calipers, depth gauges, pin gauges, micrometers, etc.
- Measure and evaluate quality of pre-production sample products using laboratory equipment including CMM and 3D scanner.
- Maintain and improve the quality lab workflow to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain equipment calibration records and coordinate annual 3rd party calibrations.
- Work with internal support groups to evaluate, analyze, and present data and recommendations for product improvements to the project teams.
- Evaluate the importance of various design elements, their GD&T complexity and provide advice to the NPI team.
- Ensure the Safe Launch Plans are executed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Automotive Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in quality, industrial, mechanical, manufacturing, or materials Engineering. Solid Experience in the field may substitute education requirements.
- 2 years’ experience in Pre-production and Initial Submission role.
- Strong experience in GD&T interpretation and analysis.
- Ability to effectively interact and collaborate with individuals of varying technical acumen within the organization.
- Strong work experience using Cloud-based systems, document control systems and MS Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience and knowledge of Computer-aided design software
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills; ability to take complex data sets, standards, and analysis and present to target audiences.
- Solid Variation and Statistics knowledge. Ability to perform Capability Analysis (Cp and Cpk), GR&R and other MSA techniques.
- Experience with Quality Core tools (PFD, FMEA and CP).
- Analytical, organized, self-motivated and can prioritize effectively; ability to work independently as well as with others
- Project management skills such as developing, overseeing and following timelines as well as tracking quality requirements and deliverables
