JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Inspector position conducts origination inspection of parts and supplies, ensuring the quality of products through thorough assessment and analyses using specific procedural standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
- Follows standardized procedures to perform first part, final and receiving inspections on a wide variety of parts and assemblies.
- Utilizes standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges and test rigs.
- Accurately compares products to engineering drawings/specifications, purchase order and inspection plans using common manual inspection equipment.
- Identifies and documents non-conformances.
- Provides constructive feedback for quality improvement.
- Works under direct supervision and in accordance with instructions and techniques.
- Proficient use of basic meteorology equipment including, but not limited to, calipers, height gage, surface plate, protractor, radius gauge, micrometer and dial indicator.

QUALIFICATIONS
- One (1) year of quality inspection experience or equivalent specialized training which may be obtained in vocational courses or on the job.
- Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, to express needs and ask questions.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Knowledge of and familiarity in Microsoft office products and ERP manufacturing software.
