Job Title:  Sales Engineer

Location:  Gallatin, TN

Job Summary:

If you have experience working with metal fabricating industries or processes, along with estimating, you will be the perfect candidate for this position.  You will analyze customer needs, prepare competitive quotes, and manage sales activities, ensuring profitable project execution and strong customer relationships. 

Responsibilities:

• Understands design platforms such as SolidWorks, Creo, DraftSight, and AutoCAD with the ability to analyze information from these applications and implement designs required.
• Ability to Modify existing customer designs that come from design platforms such as SolidWorks and Creo to illustrate changes for manufacturability and cost savings. 
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and customer requirements to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for metal fabrication projects. 
• Utilize CAD software and industry-specific quoting tools to generate detailed estimates. 

• Must have experience with quoting software and ERP systems.
• Accurately estimate costs for metal fabrication projects, including materials, labor, tooling, and outside sourcing. 
• Develop and maintain pricing structures and cost databases. 
• Utilize quoting software and tools to streamline the quoting process. 
• Attend pre-bid, pre-construction and final inspection meetings. 
• Follow-up care of customers must be ensured before, during and after every stage of their projects.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in metal forming technologies.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and operations teams to ensure successful project execution. 
• Collaborate with Customer Engineer’s and Purchasing Teams to ensure successful execution of new business awards. 

Qualifications:

• 4-year engineering degree, or degree in other relevant discipline preferred, as well as sales experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication environment. 

• Understands design platforms such as SolidWorks, Pro-E, and AutoCAD with the ability to analyze information from these applications and implement designs required.
• Experience in reading and understanding blueprints for fabrication and assembly operations.
• General knowledge of APQP processes and GD&T

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communications skills. 
• Effective verbal and written communications skills are essential. 
• Must demonstrate a high degree of accuracy. 
• Good mathematical skills, familiarity with computer programs relevant to performing essential job functions and learning company systems. 
• Professional demeanor.
